Request for recommendations

My wife of 38 years has breast and bone cancer. So I'm looking for recommendations for spouse support groups. We are retired from the Infantry, and have both medically retired from second careers. She ran a program titled Operation Military Kids - out of the Missouri University system- I met her in 1974 while shooting competition - she's a much better shot than I am.

You local Cancer society and/or hospice should have support group info readily available. Also many churches have faith based support for you also. I'll be praying for you and yours. Ivan

I don't know of any support groups other than this one right here, The S&W Forum. Soon there will be many people praying for your wife & you. Hang in there & please post progress reports as you are able.

My father beat bladder cancer into remission 4 times. My stepmother was fabulous. I would inquire with the staff at the facility where your wonderful wife is being treated. I'm sure they can recommended several nearby.

I will keep both of you in my thoughts.

If I may make a suggestion? Maybe put a prayer request in your thread title...that way people will find you a lot easier.

The only support group I've ever used is God and church family.

I can't offer advice, but as a cancer survivor myself, I will keep both of you in my thoughts and prayers.
