Richmond, VA area smith to mill off forged front sight and cut / pin

I have a model 29 with a front sight that's part of the 8 3/8 barrel forging. The blade is damaged and I would like to get it converted to the OEM style pinned sight like other 29s.

Can anyone recommend someone in the Richmond, VA area to do this? Alternatively someone I could ship it to without getting soaked on shipping costs would be OK too.

You might contact David Sams at Sams Custom Gun Works in Cartersville. Depending on where in Richmond you are, it could be a quick trip out Rte 6. He has a website and is willing to answer the phone as well. He stays loaded up with work apparently, but takes a couple of days every so often to knock out little jobs like this one should be. I would suggest calling then carrying the revolver out for a face-to-face, getting his estimate, and planning on a moderate wait.
