I recently developed a fondness for .22 lr rifles and carbines. Accurate, light (well most of the time), cheap to shoot, easy to work on.

Here’s my lot

Ruger 10/22 shorty, made in 1992. Bought it at an auction some years back, came with a Parker Hale silencer

AMT Small Game Hunter II bought recently. It has a nice heavy barrel and stainless steel receiver. Trigger is great too, similar to the next one here under

10/22 target hammer forged barrel made in 1997, just brought it home, haven’t shot it yet

Savage Mk II bought new last year. I don’t buy many new firearms, but I picked it up at the LGS while buying something else. In Switzerland bolt rifles do not need a license, most other guns do. It’s also threaded and super quiet with the silencer and subsonic ammo.

A French Unique X51 from 1965. This was a very popular rifle in France, sold by department stores on catalogue. It’s a nice light and accurate rifle. The scope is a German WWII unit.

Another antique from the 50ies, a pump action FN Browning Trombone

I'll play.

Here's a couple of mine. A Henry pump and my newly acquired Remington 552 Speedmaster.

Only rifle I've ever shot was my dad's Charter Arms AR7 the first time he ever took me shooting as a kid. I wish I could say I inherited it from him, but my sister has claimed it for her own.

I too enjoy my rimfire rifles.

Here are a few military .22RF rifles based on full size service rifles. All are very accurate and a hoot to shoot. The Springfield M2 on the bottom is not cut down. It is as issued. It is the only repeater in the bunch and uses 5 round magazines. The others are single shot rifles.

The Winchester Pre-A Model 52 with a 10X Unertl is my go to rifle for precision shooting and I use it at our club's 200 yard .22RF matches.

Down to only 1 rimfire rifle these days....Remington Nylon 66 in Seneca Green. Like a nice filet mignon and a quality red wine..the Nylon 66 pairs nicely with rimfire revolvers, be it Model 17, Kit-Gun or Ruger Single Six.

Especially fun days outdoors with family, and the grandkids just love to shoot....paper, cans, spinners, etc. all day long.

Cool guns from Switzerland as usual. :)

The Browning "Trombone" is interesting; unless it is a licensed copy of another gun (like a Winchester 61?) I don't think that one was ever sold in the USA.

And how interesting an English company (Parker-Hale) makes/made sound suppressors, which are socially acceptable in many parts overseas, but apparently no guns - and here we have relative freedom to buy guns but suppressors are as difficult to get as many restricted firearms.

Some very nice rimfires shown in these posts. I suppose some day we'll be able to find reasonably priced rimfire ammo again. Shot this one at the range yesterday for the first time; the five shot group is at 50 yards with cheap Winchester Wildcat ammo. Have to admit I couldn't duplicate it though; maybe next time. H&K 270.

another gun my neighbor gave me since her husband passed 2 weeks ago.......she thought it was a shotgun when she asked if I wanted it.....she insisted I take it after I offered to sell it for her.....so now I own a 1930's circa Remington Improved Model 6......don't think it will replace any of my Ruger .22's....it needs some love cosmetically but it is solid............... .............................................................................................
