I am glad to see that Rittenhouse was acquitted, and that this case has had a positive effect in reinforcing one's right to exercise their right to self defense.
However, I see another perspective that hasn't been mentioned yet... this case has reinforced the right of the individual to stand up and act in the absence of active enforcement of the law. One of the (poorly) verbalized points was that law enforcement was directed to assume a spectator role, even though an individual was targeted by aggressive protesters.
