S&W Grips

Would love to have 3 sets of S&W Round Butt Target grips complete with checkering and medallions! Reasonably priced. Hope I'm not asking too much! Lol Would also like to see the safariland Lightning grips made out of walnut for J and K Frames.

Take a look at the stocks that come on the PC 686, They fit just perfect however they have SSR engraved on them and are laminate, I have several sets, Hate the look but are truly functional, great for the speed loader perfect other than the Look.

Great for RB K's would love them for N's too.

I too would love "Target" grips for N Frames without so much hanging off on the bottom and possibly slightly rounded off. Some of the picture examples here are great.

I'd like a set J-frame round to square butt grips that look like the one Iggy posted or look like extended spegel boot grips for my Model 34.22kit gun w/ a 4" barrel.

Or looking again at your post #13..... a set of those in walnut for the J-frame...... round to square.

If you can make an accurate copy of S&W combat and S&W smooth Presentation Target grips I think you would do well. You would need to get the S&W emblems and install them properly. They would not be factory but as John Culina has shone if you made great grips we members of the forum will buy them as John's are artistic and we love them.

I would like to see this grip but for a revolver. Maybe someone makes one but I have never seen one:

S I have decided to work on K-frames like what Zebulon and blaze have asked for AND
More J frame like what is pictured above(open back). Also a few sets will be Closed back like the j compac design. I MAY try a set with a belt clip just to see how it goes. I will keep an eye out for a squarebutt J frame revolver for cheap to make grips from... well see. I make everything in batches. So it will be at least a month before anything get to the final finishing stage. PLEASE be patient. Good things take time... Keep posting ideas.... you have all been really helpful.

I would like to see Roper-style K and N frame targets, the same contours as factory Target stocks but smaller/thinner in all dimensions. Those of us with smaller hands thank you!

K frame conversion round to square butt. A little narrower at the lower end for the pinky with some type of thumb rest which allows easy extraction.

These are close, S&W J frame Pachmire presentation grips, I was bidding on these on Ebay, didn't win the auction. Couldn't find any info on them.

I have a set of these that I bought for my Taurus but they were the wrong ones. I'm looking for something with the finger grooves and exotic wood like Rosewood. Here is what the ones you posted look like on a 586. Yes those are for the Taurus:eek:

The batch of N frame that I just got finished making are basically
"Cokes" with a reduced palmswell. They're relieved a little more at the base / heel of hand to accomidate the reduced palmswell. I too have small hands and found that the Custom "Cokes" I bought several years ago where too wide to fit right. Also I sought out to use higher quality and more figured wood, Wich I did.

I would be interested in target grips for an X frame, 6.5 inch, 500 S&W. I know it is a K/L round butt however, I'm looking for something larger, with a palm swell and maybe even a thumb rest. Finger grooves possible. Very dense wood. Covered back strap.

I know demand for such grips may be small but I would like grips that balance the revolver better in both feel and appearance.

Thanks for asking,
Don

CALLING ALL X- FRAME FANS.... WHAT DO YOU THINK? I HAVE A 460S&W SO THIS CAN BE DONE. Is there any interest?

Uhhh yes please!. I'd love an alternative to the plastic Barami hip grip, even better if it is a boot grip style. There has got to be a market out there for a nice wood j frame hip grip.
