I just returned from another long day and I have been promoted to Type 1 Diabetic as my pancreas cannot produce enough Beta cells.
Finger pricks, shots and all. Yippee Ki Yay!

It was 66° today so I introduced my belly pack to my porch swing.
Rusty is there enough room in that belly pack for a small semi-auto..........you never know when you may need to be packing

Sometime the cure is as bad as the disease. Side effects are trying their best to drain the joy from me but they are up against a seasoned pro.

My weary yet ever faithful advocate. She makes this all so bearable.
having a "helper" is wonderful... my better half just sitting reading a book while I got infusions was comforting... we are currently sitting, her reading and me typing with a blizzard raging outside and no electricity.. still nice to have her by my side.. may need to warm up eventually.. getting chilly in here.
When my dad was going through cancer treatments, mom, an old school LPN/RN was right there with him. She was the reason my dad was in in excellent condition despite having diabetes for decades and lasted as long as he did. She took damn good care of him! My mom always said, "I never really retired." Nurses are Angels in human form IMO.

Nurses are the NCOs of the hospital, and they usually bring it home, too. I'm sure Rusty knows this. I married a nurse, and I know it to be true.
