I just purchased a 1076 a few months ago. I am very interested in the rest of the series, but dont know the differences. What are the different models and whats the diff. in them. I know there is a 1006 and 1066, any more? Pics would help. And yes, I love my 1076!

So, you have the 1006, 1026, 1046, 1066, 1076, and 1086. If you peak at some of the 1076 threads you'll find factory letters about the production numbers of each model. A couple of the models had under 5000 produced. The differences basically are variations in the action and barrel lengths. The should get you started until some other guys post more detailed info.

I beleive the list goes like this
1006 - 5 inch tda
1026 - 5 inch sig style decocker
1046 - 5 inch dao
1066 - 4.25 inch tda
1076 - 4.25 inch sig style decocker
1086 - 4.25 inch dao

1006 - 26,979 units produced 1990-93
1026 - 3,135 units produced 90-91
1046 - 151 units produced 1991 (only)
1066 - 5,067 units produced 1990-92
1076 - 13,805 units produced 1990-93
1086 - 1,660 units produced 1990-92

1006- 5" barrel, slide mounted safety/decocker traditional double action
1026- 5" barrel, frame mounted decocker traditional double action
1046- 5" barrel double action only
1066- 4.25" barrel, slide mounted safety/decocker traditional double action
1076- 4.25" barrel, frame mounted decocker traditional double action
1086- 4.25" barrel double action only

Thanks guys. I guess the 1026 is the one Id like to get next. That one will probably be tough to find.

There was a 4526 on there a few days ago, for a good price. I considered it, but if I got another gun like that, it would be another 10mm. I have ten magazines for them.

What's a good price for a 1026? I had a chance at one today for 500+tax. Thought about it real hard, but ended up passing. It was in good shape, but did have some honest holster wear. Not abused, but worn down to a shine on the frame and slide in some spots. What is the going rate on these rare 10mm's?

I certainly would of gotten it at $500 and considered it a shooter if nothing else.

I personally have fallen into a number of 1026's, but it's been a while and what I paid wouldn't necessarily apply in today's market. At $ 500, as long as it wasn't beat, I would have said that was a very good price.
