Hey guys, I have this 15-3 on hold at the local shop. Im not sure if its worth the $499 price? Its been hard chromed and customized. I cant find anything about the multi-comp. Lockup seems tight and everything looks good. The rear sight was removed.

Sorry about the crappy pic.

Thanks

Agree with SC Hunter - probably a lot spent on making that target gun but no value unless that is what you like. If your intended purpose is to mount a red dot and shoot cans or maybe squirrels, but do not buy if you think it is an investment gun.

I have at least 10 38 molds. That would be a good bench tester for me. It costs about $700 just to install a good barrel.

Those are very specific customizations. If the revolver's still mechanically sound and you can make use of the mods, the price isn't bad.

It's just that few need those mods, and if you don't, five bills is better put toward a gun configured for your purposes.

Guns like that have a real narrow appeal. Most of the folks that used to shoot those have either retired from the sport or now shoot those $5000 9mms. $500 is probably a "fair" price, but IMHO the value of those is going down instead of up, like most other firearms. If you were to get it, you better expect to be passing it on to your heirs.
