S&W 6906

I have a 3913NL. I use a Stoner IWB that has the leather protective flap. Make sure you get the steel reinforcement, it is an absolute must. Love my 3913 and getting a 6906 would make the NL redundant. That's the only thing keeping me from buying one. Love the Smith 3rd Gens.

In my opinion, it is silly to put your pistol in a holster made for something else. Plenty of makers are able to accommodate a request for the 6904/6.

IWB works just fine. I carry mine in this Alessi MOB:

Why is it silly to use a holster designed for a different gun if it fits well?

I have found many holsters that are interchangeable so to speak. My 3913 fits very well in Sig 239 holster. My Sig 229 fit into holsters made for my M&P's, my Browning HP fits very well in a 1911 holster etc. Keeps options open to a wide variety.

PS. Where in Idaho do you reside?

Got my 6906 a couple of years ago. Square trigger guard model with very little use apparently. Got a 3953 DAO single stack to keep it company in the safe.

Yes, the 6906 is a VERY nice compact 9mm.

I have a Glock Model 19, which is a very nice semiauto pistol, and the most popular for non military/police sales....but I carry the 6906.

Safety off, round in chamber, DA first shot. I've practiced it many, many times.

You know: you just don't hear/read stories about people shooting themselves with S&W 3rd gen semiautos, as is distressingly 'common' with Glocks.

I like the Glock Model 19 for it's simplicity, ruggedness, and reliability.

But I like the 6906 even better. Better ergonomics. And, while many people seem to dislike the DA/SA function, I prefer it for a concealed carry weapon, by a considerable margin.:D

My wife abducted my 3913 for purse carry so I purchased a LEO trade-in 6906. Both are ridiculously easy to shoot 9MM's. Great guns that S&W should still be making.

was the 3913 called a lady smith... my friend bought one of those around the time i bought by 6904 which i believe is the same as the 6906 ...06 is stainless and 04 is blue... somebody please correct me if im wrong....

There was a version of the 3913 that was called the Ladysmith, but not all 3913's were ladysmiths.
