I know they do good work, but I wish someone would train S&W employees in customer service. #1 - Don't lie. I called on an estimate for some work on my revolver (minor stuff) and the person from repairs said it will cost about $XXX.XX and we'll have it back to you in about three weeks. Great! So I ship it off. Two weeks go by and, "is it ready?" - "No. It's still in analizing stage." What ever that is? Ten days later, "Is it ready yet?" "It's still in analizing. Try back in a couple weeks." Now it's already been longer than what they quoted me. I call back in a week, "Is it ready yet?" - "It's through the analizing stage and it's going to cost $XXX.XX" I said ok and paid for it on the phone. To this day it's still being worked on (one hour's worth of work is taking about 6 weeks). The bottom line to Smith & Wesson techs - You do marvelous work, but please we're all big boys and girls...If the work is going to take 6-8 weeks then don't quote 3.
