So, does the M&P15-22P fit here? seems to be the right spot since its basically the same as the rifle, but in pistol form.

Anyway, does anyone have one yet? what do you think? Any idea on how difficult/easy it would be to SBR? :)

Ive had crazy thoughts of buying one to SBR for giggles if nothing else.

Put that SBR together without the proper paperwork and you'll be giggling your way right into Federal prison. But of course, you meant that you would apply for your SBR tax stamp first, right?

Oh I'm pretty sure he meant to say "Ive had crazy thoughts of buying one to register and stamp as an SBR for giggles if nothing else".

After all, who amongst us hasn't spent a couple of hundred extra bucks for a giggle? :D

My wife wishes it was only a couple hundred at this point

You wouldn't want a 15-22P to SBR. There's no way to mount a stock on it. The only SBR thing you could do to it would be to mount a foreward grip. If you want to SBR, get a rifle and start from there. A Form 1, $200 and a little more for the gunsmith of your choice and you're in business. How about a 6 or 7 inch barrel, a full-size quad rail and a suppressor that only sticks out a couple of inches?

ok first guys, Ive been down this NFA road a few times. This ain't my first rodeo.

How can you be sure? I know there isnt a traditional way to mount a stock, but who's to say there isnt a way to make an adapter. This is really the reason I started the thread to see if that was a possibility.

actually that would be an AOW.

:) This is exactly what I was thinking
