Here's a few more pics of the 27 and rest of the gang.

The seller said he believed the 27 to be a 1958 model. It just says 27 on the frame with nothing else. The 586 is a 1990 model I believe and the model 19-3 is early 70's ? I believe.

The other two are Ruger S.R. 44 mag and Ruger B.H. 45 LC

I'm just beside myself with joy over model 27 !!! It's awesome.

Looks like a very nice m-27, is she hollering cause you bought it, maybe you need to grab your ear plugs from your range bag.....hee hee...............................................M*

My first .357 was an 8-3/8" M-27 in the wooden presentation box back in 1972.

Another one I should have hung onto…

Know the feeling

I traded for a twin to my current 19 back in like 1980/81 and let it go like a dummy many years ago. And have kicked myself a dozen times for that.

Finally got one back though

Here's the numbers

The 19 wins the trigger pull competition 3lbs 5oz

27 next 3lbs 12oz

586 brings up rear right at 4lbs.

If no trigger guard screw it is a mis-marked 27-2. The 4 screw 27's bring a pretty good premium. That looks like a very nice 357.

I can't tell in the photo. Is that an S prefix serial number?

6-1/2 inch barrel? Don't see too many of those.

Whatever it is, congrats on your new .357! Very nice looking revolver. :)

It does indeed appear to be a 6 and 1/2 in barrel. It's a tad longer than my 6" 586

I've about wore the blue off it handling it today, lol.

Very nice 4-screw Model 27 (no dash)! You didn't mention the serial no., but from your description 1958 sounds about right. My 5-screw 6-1/2" .357 Magnum (s/n S140334) is 1955, and my 4-screw 6-1/2" .44 Magnum (s/n S177963) is 1957-58. As you can tell, I really like the 6-1/2" bbl. N-frames. Enjoy!

That's right around 1958. JA@AK should be by soon to narrow it down. He has a killer data base.

Sweet

I'm not a pure collector kinda guy, I'm going to shoot her some. But in the same breath I'm going to treat my 27 with care. Mostly 38 spcl moderate to light loads.

With of course a cylinder of magnums on occasion. Nice and tight right now and I wanna keep it that way.
