S&W Patch Identification

I was hoping someone could help identify a patch that was given to me.
It appears pretty well made.
Anyone know what it came from or if it was just something that could be purchased?

I have one just like it still in new condition. Purchased it at S&W factory service dept. when I was in the S&W Armorer School in 1977 during the Bangor-Punta era. Have no idea what it may be worth though.
It appears that yours is a genuine piece of S&W memorabilia also.

Think I found mine on eBay a couple years back. Didn't pay all that much for it, probably less than 5 bucks.

So i guess it is safe to say it's just a nice piece of memorabilia, not anything very valuable.
It will make a nice addition to my safe at any rate.

They first came out in the 1960's or early 1070's. They are still available from S&W. The quality is the same as when they were first made. I paid $1.00 for mine when I got it back around 1975.

Your patch will only go up in value as the years go by.
