I don't know where I got this tool but was wondering; Did S&W ever include this tool with their guns?

Is that hole there so you can attach it to your key ring? Don't leave home without it!

I have one just like it. Don't remember for sure where or when I got it, but I'm glad to have it. Have seen very few of these. It's a dandy!

Picked up this 4 bladed tool at a gunshow a couple of years ago. I've never seen the two bladed variety.

From the SCS&W- 1988-1991 flat steel 4 bladed tool for a keychain
1991 onwards flat steel 2 bladed tool for a keychain

There are two styles of the flat (key chain) SAT.. Large hole like yours and , small hole is the other style...
JIM................

I think I have four of the 2 blade variety...all came in the box.

Sorry for dragging out an old thread, but I found a similar model to the OP's photos.
Differences:
Small hole
Text is "SIGHT ADJUSTMENT ONLY" over three lines.

It was in an estate sale box a few weeks ago, I think it was $4.
Bought it out of general principle. Maybe a nice karma someday. Or maybe an add to my keyring.

My Model 14-5, 6" 38 Special, shipped with the Large Hole Version. Ship date May 22, 1992.

My Model 16-4 and Model 31, .32 Magnums, both came with the "small hole" version of this SAT. They shipped October 26, 1989, and September 1, 1990 respectively.

Numerich has them for $11.50 new.

I can't find them on Numnuts ;) ... Numrich - any chance for a link Sir? One of them came with my 622AS but I cannot find it for the life of me ... :(

Edited to add: Sorry for being such a doofus - I found the SAT's on Numrich ... :)
