school shooting solution

Not an attorney but how is this 14 year old going to be tried as an adult?
If he's tried as an adult, how is his father responsible for the shooting?
Seems like somebody wants to have this both ways?

Talk about fuel for the gov't coverup conspiracy conflagration . . .

Most of these killers enter the school after it has started/ Once school is started in order for anyone to enter they should have to enter a set of doors that lock behind them, then have to be videoed before a second set of doors are opened. That plus metal detectors.

Another thing I believe is to get rid of the notoriety part of the equation. You commit certain crimes, your name and birth disappears and it becomes illegal to mention it in print, or any form of media. The person is then tracked in the system by a random number that changes yearly until they die.

The minimum age to be tried as an adult is 13 in Georgia for violent crimes.

The father is being charged with involuntary manslaughter, second-degree murder and cruelty to children.

The 60's and now…..High School offered Auto Shop for Boys, consisted of a 5 Bay shop with 3 Lifts, Jr./Sr. year a 3 hour a day job at a Dealership, usually New Car get ready or Light Line…Metal Shop was 3 hrs. a day and Students learned Welding, Running a Lathe, Reading Micrometers, setting up Drill Presses. Wood shop taught setting up wood lathes and making Lamps and Tables.

Guns in School? The Guys in Shop class would ask permission of the Instructor to bring in a Rifle, usually a Bolt Action their Dad had brought Home, to place in in a Machinist Vise on a Drill Press to drill and tap for Scope Mounts…Or cut the Barrel back and Re- crown the Muzzle. .Wood Shop also for Routing and relieving Barrel Channel…Only Caveat was NO Ammo with it…

After working on a Car, You'd ask permission to take it off Campus for a test ride…Usually one of the Instructors would hand You some change and ask for You to bring Him back a Coke…11 cents @ Burger King….School would hook You up for a part time job Jr./ Sr. Year @ a Dealership….Ford was putting 390/ 406/427 in their Cars…Chevy 409/ 427 in their Cars…Than Carrol Shelby developed the Cobra Engine and Ford was putting them in Stock Cars You could buy @ the Dealer….or a Crate Engine to put in your Fairlane or Mustang.

Girls took Home Economics classes where they learned to Cook & Sew, and Business classes where they learned to Type and use Office Machines…

Our School, in addition to having A Top Rated Football team, had over 5,000 Students, No SRO, and no need for one. Everybody respected the Teachers and each other….Fights? You'd meet at the Park and after a few punches were thrown, it was over and that was the end of it..No vendettas.

When I went on the street in 1971, If You saw a subject wearing a Fur Coat and arguing with a Tree in 100 degree heat, You Handcuffed Him and searched for weapons and transported him to a Hospital and You never saw Him again.

Mental Patients are now allowed to roam freely and the Justice system rarely prosecutes….preferring to plea down Charges….Kids used to go to a Park and play Ball or pass a Football around, or over at each others House, working on their Cars. Now, they spend their time on the internet playing violent games and becoming desensitized to violence, and not taking their Meds.

So you are saying that if we want to reduce or eliminate school shootings we should just close the schools???

Don't forget that there are also kids who are kept out of schools and receive little or no practical education due to the parents' beliefs or misconceptions about what they need to be taught. Just how high will that number go if/when we close the schools...???
I've seen wonderful kids go through the public school system that were like Ferraris in a demolition derby until they were destroyed enough to conform to the smart cars they currently produce.
I've also had to work with those teachers that do it.
They will not raise a finger to stop the monsters they create. Moreover, they will go to any length to prevent others from stopping the monsters too.

I graduated in '71. 4,000 students in 10th, 11th and 12 th grades. Full time cop on campus (distant cousin), got me suspended in 12th grade several times. I was a "big shot", plenty of money so I could take everybody out to lunch. "Off campus" was a big no-no even then. Lotsa guys had guns, I had a Marlin .22 and a "Super sealed 8" that worked some of the time. Never a thought of shooting folks and I was plenty pissed off often and regular. Joe

A lot of school-age children are brilliant. The very large majority are smart enough to see problems coming. I would like to believe the solutions to the problems are already in the schools.

I wish there were some kind of awareness classes in school, not for everyone. Those who bully and act like they don't care? Not invited.
Those who make fun of the others, not invited. Could we find the adults to teach these classes, for they would be special classes needing special teachers.

One problem I have is social media in schools. Why not use this in the classes as an advantage to help keep the waters calm? Teach them they can help clean up their environment. Make them proud to be there. Yes, I believe many of the problems come from the way things are. Let's take our schools back. Let's build leadership roles where they are needed.

There are wolves among the sheep at school. Everyone knows who they are. There are wolves on the streets. Keep them away from the sheep. Teach the sheep how to help watch and listen. Teach the parents school does not teach a child some things that must be taught and watched at home.

Whole lot of *** there, IMO.

My HS was once the largest in TN. Had close to 3k students, grades 10-12. School had I don't know how many doors, probably over 75?

I agree with erasing any names being mentioned. Can't make it illegal though. That would violate the 1st Amendment. Sadly, the media won't co-operate on that as they want to "print the truth" & "the public has the right to know".

The GA shooter was reportedly enamored with school shooters. His social media claims he was "trans friendly". Draw your own conclusions there, IMO.

The Nashville school shooter recently had his journal published. Clearly, coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs.

Vanderbilt Hospital had the Nashville shooter in for counseling/treatment several times. Obviously, it didn't work. Nor did Vanderbilt initiate a Baker procedure for involuntary confinement for mental treatment. (I may be off on the Baker name?) Vanderbilt was one of the lawsuit parties who opposed the release of the journal, mostly because they worry about getting sued.

Trans kids are THE most mentally screwed-up people you'll ever meet in your life. I work with one.

Maybe we should ban schools instead of guns.

So what happens when all of those uneducated kids with zero structure and even less supervision get their hands on those guns...??? Ever see Stanley Kubrik's classic "Clockwork Orange"? What about "Lord of the Flies"?

You can count me out on that version of society!

same thing we see right now. We have that version of society right now.
Remember when you screwed up in school and you had a seat in the principals office?
That's largely been replaced by extortion tactics to force parents to get them on Adderal, Xanax, Ritalin or whatever behavior in a bottle is in vogue this week.
After they have them chemically lobotomized till they have the seven day twitch we see in almost all the footage of these assailants in courtrooms and confinement.
Pills can't think, nor reason. If anything, they cripple the minds capacity to grind through the problems and develop ... this is where the monsters are made.
Add to that the push to facilitate covert transitions. Now add hormones that do not belong in a body putting the zap on their heads.
When all these fun and games go south, those same destroyers of lives will refuse every single means to stop the monsters they created as it conflicts with their regurgitated ideology.

Where are the school counselors? Aren't they supposed to have interaction with the students and evaluate them for problems and needs? You never hear about them in these situations. Teachers should be reporting concerns to the counselors and the counselors should be following up. These people have mental health training.

School counseling is actually a misnomer. That job is more about testing and college/career tracking than mental health counseling . . .
