Hi Everyone,

I just got my SD9VE.
I follow the manual instruction to field strip the gun and clean it first before using/shooting it.

During the re-assembling of the gun, I make sure that the barrel and recoil guide/spring are straight and level on the slide (just like the pictures on the manual show).

I also have watched many YouTube Videos on how to Field Disassemble and Re-assemble SD9VE or SD40VE.

Now, when the slide is pulled to the back AND locked (and the barrel appears tilting up), I notice that the barrel seems to shake a bit.
If I hold the barrel, I can shake it bit.

Is that normal?

Thank you very much for all your help.

Like Anthem said, it's normal. On the other hand, a Ruger SR22's barrel for instance, would not 'tilt' as it's mounted to the frame, unlike the SD's.

Grats on a great purchase. I can't seem to shoot mine enough.

Thank you very much for the confirmation, everyone.
I really appreciate them.

Yes its is normal on guns where the barrel is not part of the frame. My gf hi point is mounted to the frame.
