My take on whole affair is that she was reluctant to place heavy blame on SS agents protecting Trump and the Pittsburgh field office agents who probably prescreened the site.

They were the first ones responsible for a protectee's safety. A director can't be everywhere and on top of every detail at all the sites the agents must cover in any given day and sometimes every day.

But getting rid of a director of any agency or office does make many people feel good that they did something.

Of course it's not true. If there were any hint of accuracy to this story, you wouldn't be reading about it on some obscure website; it would be the lead article on every news website, and attention-seeking politicians would be in front of cameras, waving it around and demanding "the truth"...

At this stage of the game, I simply don't know what's true, or what so-called "news" agencies are pure BS. But, I DO know that this whole thing smells bad.

I predict that in the end, just like with JFK, we will still be talking about it with many theories for a long time to come.

Because it might conflict with a statement they already made and cast doubt on their version of the truth .

Many things /subjects/etc can be taken from situations just as these. This not the first case where something can be read into an event.

Fact is there is more than enough blame to go around across the board...a scapegoat was needed and a scapegoat was provided. Now everyone will forget about it in short order as the news cycle turns (in a manner similar to my stomach when watching such things)

The truth...what there is of it in such matters, is not only irrelevent but will go into conspiracy after conspiracy so that if any truthful thing does come out of it, it will be dismissed just like the bogus information.

It was quite a kicking behind the bike sheds, wasn't it. I wonder if her reluctance to answer questions is just a reflection on how little is being told. I wouldn't be surprised if those there on the day are reviewing every piece of electronic media they don't control to make sure that what they officially submit lines up. In this day and age, you can hardly blame them.

Because it's an ongoing investigation. I would not have answered it either at this time. I say there are plenty of reasons to poke at her, that's probably not one of them

The problem is the lack of transparency. I understand not discussing an ongoing investigation but investigations seem to never end and if/when they do, every other word in the report is redacted.

As a Pastor friend of mine reminded me a long time ago, “the truth will set you free”.

I watched snippets of her appearance on Youtube. I have to say, the last time I saw such "transparency" at a congressional hearing, Hoffa was in the hot seat. She simply refused to give any useful information. For that alone, she deserved to go.

Everything I've read indicates that she served on the President's detail when he was the Vice-President, and that's how he knew her.
