1000 rounds of German surplus for 479 shipped. I just got one after researching for the cheapest prices for 2 weeks. Only seven left in stock. Happy shooting!

7.62x51. Sorry, I thought that was apparent because of the forum.

If this is the stuff with the milled off headstamp, I would use it with caution. Any removal of material can't be as safe as non-jacked-with ammo. There have been several threads over on the M14 forum regarding this stuff. It has been available since the first of the year.

I read through all of those forums as well, but for .47/rd I had to take a shot.

Looking at the pictures (I know, the pictures don't always represent the product), it does not appear that the head has been milled to remove markings. There are still markings there just not the NATO head stamp, so it should be safe to shoot.

For that price I'd take a shot at it to. Considering that Germans make quality products. I buy their 556 which is also on sale at SG. it's first rate stuff, not factory rejected (XM) and it's just a little more expensive than Wolf Gold.

Especially when you consider that even 5 years ago that was the same price for POF Pakistani ammo which was absolutely horrible ammo. Some lots were great, some terrible, some so so and many varied in between

Who is SG?

PS- The M&P-10 will sometimes short stroke on NATO spec ammo

You are correct on the short stroking. The M&P10 was designed to use .308 Winchester ammo, which is the hotter load. Some people see short stroking and others have had 7.62X51mm NATO run just fine (my personal experience). I have noticed the rifle is still a little under gassed based on where the spent cartridges eject.
