The Answer is YES

. Calling Smith CS about the Shield is an exercise in futility. They have no clue about the gun. Parts list is not available, they cannot answer a question about this gun intelligently. I called 3 times asked 3 different people in CS about this they did not know squat.
I took a chance and ordered a 9/40 striker assembly from Brownells exchanged emails with Dan Burwell, great guy, and he told me it would fit. Said all 9/40 striker assemblies fit the shield.
Got the assembly 30 minutes ago and it does fit and functions perfectly. Also installed the Apex hard sear and trigger block , trigger pull has dropped to about 4 lbs and smooth as silk. More take up but almost no over travel.
Hope this helps someone else looking for answers that Smith can't won't provide. Saved me 3 to 4 weeks being without my Shield.
