So my shooting buddy recently bought a new Model 19 carry comp with the three inch barrel. First thing he did was take it to T K Customs for a level one action job, and to have the cylinder cut for moon clips. We went to the range today, and I got to shoot it. That is one of the sweetest guns I have ever shot. I've been shooting handguns since 1974, and that's the first ported barrel I have ever shot. We were shooting very mild .38 Special reloads (4.5 gr Unique, 125 gr coated bullet). Recoil and muzzle lift were non-existent. We didn't have any .357 shells with us, but he said recoil with full house .357's was very manageable.

That's all. No photos, since it's not mine. I did my part by spotting it for sale at a LGS, calling him, and he was there within an hour to buy it. Not cheap, but you can't take it with you.

That's an interesting new-production revolver, to me. I wish you could provide photos, and more details about the gun in general, but I understand your sentiments. I have yet to see one of those in person, but I keep my eyes open. ;)
