Ever since I bought my 686+ ten years ago, I had problems with one of the cylinder chambers. Whenever I fired .357 ammo, I needed to use a wood dowel or cleaning rod to knock out the empty case. The other chambers were fine. I didn't shoot it that often and most of the time when I did I would fire .38 Specials without any problem. This was not a cleaning issue. I even polished each of the chambers per instructions found on this forum. No joy. That chamber was clearly out of spec. Finally got around to sending it in to S&W for repair. 19 days from the time I shipped it I had it back in my possession with a new cylinder. That's service!
