Here's a family photo of my Keith Brown grips. The 2 exhibition walnut sets Keith brought to the NE Ohio bunch and inside they looked great. Asked Keith if I could take them out in the sun to see them. The sun made the colors dance around and the decision was harder. I went inside and told Keith I'd buy both sets. Larry

I think it was in a recent issue of American Handgunner that John Taffin said something to the effect of "when in doubt buy both." You made a wise choice ;)

The 1911 had Ebony grips made by myself. I will attempt to carve a set for my Mod27 this winter of the same wood.
The 4" Model 28 has Ace(?) smooth Rosewood (?) that I won on a Karma give away on this site. The 6" mod 28 (Recessed, not pinned) has Hogue Mordillo grips.
Note: while at Rockler's buying the one of the last pieces of Ebony they had, the salesman mentioned that Cocobolo is almost on the Endangered species list, and Ebony is close behind.
