Show us your Scandium framed revolvers

My 325. I have had it for 4 years but have not shot it much. Did not like the Hi-Viz front sight. Then I stumbled over Dawson Precision, so it now has a Tritium front sight. It also has laser grips. So it has passive and active low light targeting ability.

tennexplorer, thanks for posting that. Looks like they make them in .230", .240" and .280".

cwood great Northfield knife Great Eastern has made some awesome knives over the years. I have over 25 of them a love them all. I was lucky to be able to visit their factory in Titusville when the Daniel's owned them. Nice people. Also been through the Queen factory when they allowed tours , I have more than a few of their knives also. The Queen factory is like going back in time ,a working museum .

Buckeye, I agree. Love my GEC knives, although, I'd like them even better in stainless.

Chris-

They do make stainless blades on some knives.

GEC has three lines of knives
1-GEC line = 440C stainless blades
2-Northfield UN-X-LD = 1095 High Carbon steel blades and is their high end line that uses high standards of handle material and fancy bolsters .
3- Tidioute = 1095 High Cabon steel blades and more affordable materials and more user purpose made knives.
The two pictured are 440C stainless GEC line in my favorite 72 pattern ,one is wearing elk horn scales.

386PD and 340PD.

Looking for a 327PD (PM me if you know of one), and will eventually get the 327 PC snubbie as well.

I bleed every time I shoot these things (642 as well), but I love them.

Scandium alloy frame guns will have a blast shield. That's a positive way to spot them. No blast shield, it's a plain aluminum alloy frame.

An atom logo on the side plate is no guarantee, either. That can denote a Ti cylinder, and not necessarily a Sc frame.

Am I wrong?

Yes, the 315 Night guards do not have a blast shield the other NG's do have a blast shield

It's interesting the scandium J-frame .38 Specials have the blast shield, but the scandium K-frame .38 Specials don't. At least the M315 doesn't.

I looked on S&W web site for a Product Spec Sheet for the Model 315. They didn't have one, though they had them for some of the individual Night Guards. A spec sheet would definitively state the frame material.

Here's my 325 NG from 2008. I've removed the extended cylinder release since this pic. Had to get rid of the Pachmeyer grips because they sucked and replaced with the S&W. The trigger is great but it's not my EDC.
