Sight Magnifier

I'm currently using a UTG Leapers 1x30 Red/Green Dot Tactical Dot Sight on my S&W M&P 15-22. My question is I was wondering if I could incorporate a sight magnifier such as the UTG QD 3x Magnifier? Is this something anyone has done to their 15-22? Would it even be worth putting on a sight magnifier? What type of advantages are seen when using a sight magnifier with a standard reticle intensified dot sight?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll tell you I sighted in the sights dead center on the target, then added Magnifier, and for some reason the sighting was off from dead center. Guess what, trashed it!

I have no issue with my primary arms 3x magnifier behind their m4 red dot. I use their flip to the side mount as well.

So far I have one person for a magnifier and one against.

Any other input from other users would be appreciated. I don't want to just go out and waste a bunch of money if the thing is garbage.

I have thousands of rounds through it too. 3500 in one outing alone.

+1 for the primary arms 3X. Great quality, fast shipping and FANTASTIC customer suppert if you need to use it
(UTG also sells a good 3X for about 1/3 the price FYI)

I'm waiting on my my gun to get out of jail, its going to be 25 days from the day I ordered it. Sorry i just needed to vent. I was looking at that exact same setup for mine, and i'm glad to hear it is working out. Do you have any pictures of your rig?

I had to trim back the magnifier PA mount to keep the magpul rear site, magnifier, and m4 mounted to the receiver only. Wanted to keep the optics off the hand guard.
