Does any one have any information on this commander 1911 stainless roll marked slide? S&W won't answer how many were made. Have searched on google and all I can find is possibly 200 were produced. These were Camfour Exclusive 2 tone 1911s. sku#150109

I have no earthly idea about how many were made, but I've never seen or heard of one, so that makes me think there were not so many. Regardless of its rarity however, that is one sweet looking piece. All the right features for a carry gun and nothing extra. Does it shoot as good as it looks?

My thoughts to a t. I never heard of these, it's a beauty.

Like Froggie, I can't help you on the details on your gun but I sure like it. I love the lightweight Commander iteration of 1911s. I have a Ruger SR in that configuration with the dark green anodized frame/black slide and a Springfield Armory lightweight Officers model with the same color scheme.

Many years ago I had a Colt Series 70 Combat Commander (which of course had a steel frame.) It was electroless nickel and I had it set up as a carry gun. Then I added a blued 38 Super upper and mags to it so I could just field strip to change calibers. In a time of arrogance (I don't no stinkin' handguns) I sold it... so now I just lust after other people's Commanders! :(

Yes it shoots as sweet as it looks. This is something I will keep in the family
