Smith 1006 red dot mount/ slide cut?

Probably not gonna be a very popular opinion to modify a gem 1006, but it's mine and I want to.

Lol purists don't kill me.

I absolutely love my 1006. It's accurate, reliable just flat out cool.

I want to have a red dot on it. Anybody know of anything available or a good smith to side the slide to?

You CAN mount a reddot on a 1006 without milling the slide if you want..Hunting - kingrj

There is a company that makes a mount that goes in the rear sight dovetail. I bought one off Ebay a few months back.

There's a guy on Sig Forum offering to cut slides for dot sights. His handle is "policetruck'' Don't know him and not affiliated with him but just noticed his post offering his services. He says he can do Glocks for $95 which includes return shipping.
