That's more than we have in southern Pa. But the roads are cleared here.

John

When I was a post-doc at the Univ Ga in the winter of 1968, there was a "light dusting of snow" (less than 0.25 inches) during which I had to take my then girl-friend (at UGa), now wife of many, many years, to her doctor about 15 miles away towards Atlanta. My 1961 VW bug with manual shift was the only car on the road. It is not only Ga below the M-D Line but also even MD where on one stretch of the road from Gettysburg to Frederick about 5 miles from the state border heading South the MD State Patrol will not come out in snow (about half-way between the towns) as their cruisers do not have 4 Wheel Drive. The official was 12° for the low and 6.9" of snow.

Everything has shut down. Should melt this afternoon and then refreeze tonight making tomorrow morning hazardous.

In 1973 we got over 18" of snow. Unheard of!

Beautiful "snow" dog! My last Weim, also Daisy, had a blast in the snow! Angel hasn't seen any real snow yet. She'd have a blast, also, in that snow with Daisy. Your pretty snowscape would get destroyed! Nice pictures.
Our last real snow was I think 2008. Imagine trying to drive a SS Impala in that. My daughter Sarah & I played all Friday evening and our snowman was buried by 5AM Sat. That dang Daisy was like a snowplow on steroids! I think we hit almost 3ft. of snow that week-end. Fun!
Sorry...memories, ya know?

Howdy friend Jeff! Sorry, that's not Daisy. That's Matthew Quigley.

The news said we received 4" in mid-coastal GA. Most of it came down in the middle of the night. By 2 AM it was almost over. I had fun watching the flurries through the windows in the spare bedroom while laying down, dreaming of a nice buck or doe walking by. They couldn't find their food, so they went elsewhere.

5-6 inches in Albany (southwest) Georgia

Some have reported up to 9" (of snow) in some areas. But I think 5-6 inches was probably more the average. I guess the double entendre is obvious. My dog Stella in the photos.
