So where do you all buy ammo?

SGAmmo and Target Sports USA are my favorites, but I've also bought from Ammunition Depot, Midway USA, Palmetto State Armory, and Academy Sports.

Last November, I joined the Ammo Prime club at Target Sports USA for $95 for one year. This entitles you to their wholesale pricing (about an 8% discount off the standard price, plus free shipping on any quantity (one box or ten cases or more). $95 is a lot of money, but I figured I'd do it for one year and order a couple of times a month to build a sizeable stash of factory ammo. So far, I have saved hundreds of dollars already. It is surely worth it if you are going to buy a lot of ammo in a year's time.

I buy my ammo in bulk (500 - 1000 rounds at a time) from Lucky Gunner. I've compared the prices, and even with shipping, the price per round for Speer Lawman is still a lot cheaper than if I bought WWB locally at Walmart.

It gets to me within 2 days of ordering, delivered right to my door. Cheaper and more convenient. Works for me.

My local LE supply or Academy for local stuff.
SGAmmo for on-line orders.

I can't imagine shooting factory c.f. loads. I cast and reload everything except Rim fire and most self-defense loads.

I am a reloader as well, but I always want a few thousand rounds of factory defensive ammunition on hand for each caliber I shoot. I probably have a 10 to 1 inventory ratio of reloaded ammo to factory ammo, on hand.

I have full confidence in my reloading abilities, never having had a single problem round with any of my homemade ammo (I load 32 S&W Long, 9mm, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, .40 S&W, 10mm, 41 Magnum, 44 Special, 44 Magnum, and 45 ACP). But when I take someone shooting, they always shoot my factory ammo. I just feel better about that.

While I shoot far more reloads than I do factory ammo, I train with and carry high-end factory ammo, exclusively.

Walmart for 9mm.

I always check SGAmmo for other calibers and self-defense loads.

gun.deals | Guns and Ammo Search Engine and Gun Deals - watch for rebate deals (usually from Brownells) and other deals.

I do reload, especially 38 special - probably may favorite caliber to load for. I buy primers and powder in bulk to absorb the hazmat fee, and watch for free hazmat/shipping deals. I'm all set up to cast for 38sp too, just haven't done it yet. It's on the list for this year.

I reload most everything I shoot, except for 9mm which is pretty cheap. Carry rounds are factory defense and practice/plinker rounds I get from Scorpion, a reloader up in Tempe. Very good consistent loads with no FTF or FTE. I use factory defense rounds because I loaded a squib once. Really stuck with me.

I've been most impressed with the shipping and handling at SGAmmo. Sam Gabbert and crew are fast shippers and their packing is bulletproof, double-boxed, nothing loose, first class all the way! Others, like Palmetto and Target Sports, take their time and the packing is not always proper.

Carry ammo, direct from Buffalo Bore.

Anything else, Cabela's or Walmart. I don't buy much because I'm seldom able to get out to shoot due to health limitations.

I'm in a similar boat, SG has been my goto for a while, fast reasonable shipping on big cases of cheap ammunition. The local WalledMart just dropped their bricks of Thunderbolt from $15 something to $14.50, so I get my 22lr from there, also my 9mm Luger so I can spend more local. After reading a report on how bad steel bullets in Russian ammo can be for a gun, I have switched to brass everything now and even there Wally World has 200 round boxes of 55 grain NATO stuff for $58.

For self defense ammo I go to Target Sports.Just received some Speer lawman 38 special plus P 135 grain gold dot ammo for short barreled firearms. And I just might send another for some Federal 124 HST 9mm luger in 50 round boxes instead buying it in the 20 round commercial boxes. That and no local shop carries the stuff. Shipping is usually fast and to date no problems. SG ammo is where I go to, to get some ammo for my mil surps. I do load for 30-30, 30-06,45/70, and a few others. Frank

Target Sports all the way. Good prices and good service with easy
navigation.

I visited a whole bunch of places online yesterday and they have hands down the best selection, by far, and good prices. Not sure about shipping though, I didn't order anything.

I bought a box from farm and fleet when I dropped off my son. LOL.
