Somebody should design a small piece of aluminum that attaches to the grip stud like a Hogue stud does , and creates a square butt configuration .Almost looking like a miniature 1911 style grip safety depressed. They could be offered in black or silver allowing the use of all square butt stocks without having to add pieces of wood.

I have the Hogue also, I like the feel, but I miss the look of the S&W square target grips.

This thread needs another J-frame.

Here's a November '82 Model 49 with S&W R-S targets grips. I like the look except for the too-big gap where the grip frame disappears into the back of the square-butt grip.

Here are the same grips on a square butt '73 Model 50. The gap at the back was still there. Rather unsightly so I sold the targets and stuck with the original grips on both J-frames.

I found this thread looking for answers to a RB to SB grip for my 64 custom shop. Awesome grips. Love the target ones

I just picked up a 3inch nickle model 13. Any recommendations for a Sq butt grip on these? I really like the look and feel of the Sq Butt coke bottles.

Here is an x-ray of the Round-to-square Ahrends conversion stocks I put on my 625-7 .45 Colt Mountain Gun:

I finally got to the point that I'm not completely dissatisfied with my firearm photography skills, and now I discover that I have to go and invest in X-ray equipment? Where does this madness end?:D

Do not use presentation grips to cut and grind to make a RB grip... DO NOT... they are worth $$$.

You can still by old half way worn out service SB grips.. grind on them..

I’ve seen some pretty nice RB to SQ coke bottles on eBay but they are shipping from Thailand And I’m a little worried about getting scammed.

Lazarus thread from 2021,
I've made filler plugs that work fine,
I've also had Rb to Sb conversion stocks that cut my palm when shooting Magnum loads so you might wanna check how sharp yours are before going to the range.
