Have a 63 .22lr. Clean after every use. After 3-4 cylinders fired, the empties begin to stick and it gets worse. Have to really wack the ejector rod to eject them. Can go longer with cci standard velocity, but the hot stuff sticks quicker.

Was thinking of putting an old brass brush in a drill and going through each cylinder? Kinda polishing them.

I am not sure your solution will work, since brass or bronze is softer than steel. You will no doubt remove any grime in the cylinder, which may solve your problem.

I might consider an alternate method to banging the ejector rod on a bench. How about a short piece of round steel rod with a small hammer to gently tap out each cylinder individually?
