Stiff Mag Insertion Idea?

I have a 3913, when I insert a fully loaded mag into a closed slide I have to really bump the mag pretty hard to get it to seat. Has anybody tried taking a few thousandths of an inch off the spot that the mag catch grabs?? Or does anybody have any other ideas? Thanks guys

That is normal, you're pushing the top round down about 1/8". If you notice how hard it is to get that last round in the mag you can see where it's not going to slip right in as it does when the slide is open.

Oh yeah, I understand that this is normal. I just wanted to see if anybody has tried what I said above
