Speaking of this, I was wondering about the torque value for the rifle tube. I saw 35 ft lbs on a you tube video for an AR-15. Is it important that I get it torqued that high? When I took off the original buffer tube, I doubt it was anywhere near that tight.

So the part at the end of the buffer tube where the PRS screw tightens into, has to line up perfectly with the inside of the PRS. When I install the tube, the round edges of that piece need to be at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock for the PRS to fit all the way in. What do I do if it wont line up when tight. it has to be about 3/4 turn loose to line up. That can't be good...

I called SW yesterday they tried to sell me the spacer and a end cap spacer to use on the PRS. I told them i just wanted the buffer spacer and not the tube spacer.

cost me 14$ with shipping.

does any of this make sense.

Here's an image of the differences.

The top is the stock M&P 10 collapsible tube.
The new S&W spacer is at under the tape measure. You can see that clearly equates to the full size A2 extension so you can just use your factory spring and buffer. The third down is what S&W tried to sell me (and did) the first time I called and CS told me I needed "their tube too" which is BS. Because the bottom tube is just a plain old DPMS A2 extension from Midway and it's identical.

I finished the build today and after lubing back up the only thing I had issues with was the BCM charging handle. I still need to investigate what was binding up. Swapped it out with the factory one and all was good.

Got a part number or product number or link for this A2 you got from midway? S&W is sending my spacer.... I just hope they knew to send the internal one
