I heard from a friend tonight that resides in a nearby county that he read in his local paper that a fellow had been arrested and JAILED for "stockpiling weapons". Never heard of that charge before. Can anyone enlighten me?

What's the definition of "stockpile"?

5? 25? 50? 100?

That's stupid. Where did this happen?

Didn't they try to arrest a guy in Waco for that?

It would depend on what sort of weapons I guess. But around here "stockpiling" one machine gun is just as bad as twenty without the right fees paid to the state.

No way Jose! Just a rumor. If your going to stock pile anything make it food. Of couse you already have enough weapons to protect yourself and family and food. But, if the election goes south this Nov then there's a good chance something like that could happen. Get US out of the UN.

I have been stockpiling weapons all my life, or at least I started as soon as my Mom and Dad would allow it. :D

I attribute the report to "journalists being journalists." If it is true, unless the weapons were prohibited types, I think the fellow may have a pretty good cause to skin the city/county out of a few bills. Must be more to the story than you have heard...

I guess I'm guilty. I have (1) a single-shot .22 rifle and two boxes of hp ammo (2) a single barrel 12 gauge shotgun and 4 boxes of #8 shot loads. (I have so much shotgun ammo because dove season comes in a month from now) and (3) an RG-38 revolver with half a box of 158 grain rn. I guess three weapons and multiple boxes of ammo constitute a stockpile. Where can I turn myself in?

What about making sling-shots from rubber bands. I got a stockpile of them in my desk drawer.
