Summer in the north has.....

I know that it's spring because we are currently shooting carp that haven't spawned yet. Once they get skinny...it's officially summertime.

One of my guilty pleasures is catching large carp on light tackle. Kind of like hooking a submarine if it's a big one. Haven't done that in years.

How big was the one in the picture?

Also in Michigan. This past winter was brutal. Our last snow came just a couple of weeks ago. It's very nice to finally see some warmer temps and green. The lilacs bloomed last week and it's so nice to see some color. I will enjoy this while it lasts. The grey and cold stuff will return soon enough.

just talked to my buddy up in WI. said his friend up near the UP told him to bring some 12 guage shells next time up as they were running out up there. said his buddy caught 4 skeeters trying to take the trolling motor off his boat. lee

Maybe those are the same ones I catch eating from my birdfeeder :)

Brian, nothing like taking your own private nurse with you when we old and still want to travel.

You have that right. Only problem is she fusses too much about my health and my bad habits.

It's been a little cooler past couple days but not complaining as it makes for more comfortable yard work. Grass is growing at an alarming rate and needs mowing often.
My apple trees didn't blossom this year and lilacs aren't doing much either as the spring frosts we had must have done them in. We put flowers in our beds recently as frost shouldn't be a concern now but you never know in Michigan.
