Just picked up a new CORE and have enjoyed it very much. When I was giving it its first clean, I notices the rear sight is drilled and tapped for a set screw, but there is no set screw. Is this correct, or should there be a screw there for the rear sight. It feels pressed in so not sure if it needs one. If it does, does anyone know the size of the set screw.

Mine has a set screw in it. Don't know the size of the screw (or the thread pitch) but a 1/16" wrench fits into the hex. Call S&W (and sit on hold for 20 minutes so use your speakerphone) and they'll send you a replacement.

Pics please. My friend has the M&P pro9 and I thought he didn't have a set screw in the rear sight. I was in there, kinda hard to see.

Thanks for the quick replies.....ya...it did seem weird for it to be threaded and no set screw. Here are a pic of the sight...and the gun, first time trying photos...so hope they are attached correctly
