Does any one have any information on this commander 1911 stainless roll marked slide? S&W won't answer how many were made. Have searched on google and all I can find is possibly 200 were produced. These were Camfour Exclusive 2 tone 1911s.

I have a few limited-production S&W revolvers and 1911s that are not listed in the 3rd edition of the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson and have asked for production numbers. Each time, I've been told that since S&W stock is publicly-traded, those figures could influence someone to buy or sell stock and therefore they are not supposed to release them.

Pretty much, we are limited to what the SCoSW indicates and for guns made prior to a 1994 computer crash, that's what S&W uses too.

this is at least your second post asking about how many were made, go an shoot it.

Oh, I shoot it. I just feel it is special cause few were made. The roll mark on the slide is especially unusual for S&W 1911s.
