Stopped drinking coffee, because I always ended up adding stuff to it or drive through with milk, sugar, etc. and it wasn't healthy. Been really focused on diet and exercise--cut out all soda and as much sugar as possible. Sugar is in everything now, just look; but I digress.

Still needing some caffeine, been having a few cups a day of Barry's Gold (Irish tea); Tetley's English Breakfast; and misc. my wife has picked up. If not hot tea, then unsweetened tea.

Any recommendations? Brands or flavors? Hot or cold?

A surprising thing is I find myself slowing down and enjoying a break while I have it; whereas, with coffee it was drink fast, refill for more. Thanks in advance.:)

My favorite tea is Monkey Picked Tea, because the monkeys are able to get out to the ends of the branches where the tea leaves are the tenderest, resulting in a delicate, subtle flavor.
Also, monkeys.

I know where you're at and I've been doing the same. My wife buys a black tea from a specialty market in our area and it's okay, but it's not an equal replacement for coffee. In my past career it was not at all unusual for me to drink 7 or 8 cups of coffee while on duty and I knew that wasn't a good choice considering dehydration etc.. Now, I have tea in the early morning and 1 cup of coffee around 0900. Good luck

My daughter is always trying to find healthier alternatives for me.
Usually if it's healthy it tastes like cardboard or worse. Surprisingly this AriZona Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey tastes pretty good. Almost like regular sweet tea but with all that healthy goodness included. Walmart has it.

Rarely drink hot tea but go through a lot of lightly sweetened iced tea every day. (I am from the south!) I make a 1/2 gallon each morning in one of those big mason jars. Keep a a Yeti tumbler full all day. My favorite is the Luzianne Cold Brew tea bags. Second choice if the Lipton Cold Brew tea bags. One tea bag of either makes a days supply. A tumbler of it always goes with me when I leave the house.

I drink hot tea every evening. I use one of three brews, all sweetened with honey:
1. Twinings Earl Grey
2. Tosh chamomile, honey, and lemon
3. Combo of fresh ground cinnamon and chai

I swear by them to lower my blood pressure. The honey is less diuretic than sugar so I don’t pee all night. It took a while to find a type of honey that doesn’t ruin the tea’s flavor; I found one in North Carolina.

Honey definitely has different regional flavors. There are some really good clover and wildflower ones I've come across.

Many of the teas on the market are "black teas" or fermented. These are the Earl Greys, English Breakfast, etc. I prefer these "straight" teas to the blended spice teas like constant comment. Overall, I prefer the Chinese teas. They are smooth and light in flavor. OOLONG is the most popular. Try it .. you might be surprised at the smooth flavor.

Irish tea and English Breakfast are the choices I usually pick. Experimentation with different brands will answer your questions. Reading the sugar content is a wise move also. Enjoy

Thats my go to tea,

They served it down in chinatown and they gave me some to bring home. Really helps digestion. The only tea I will drink with dinner when I do.
