Check out the REI site they may have something double wide.

I've used a Therma-Rest pad for almost 20 years now without problems. NOT wanting something that requires AIR really limits your comfort and whats available.

I have my OD sleeping pad from my Reserve days and 2 blue commercial pads, they work fine, I had more than 1 GI air mattress go flat on me. The best air mattresses have separate tubes that fit in a cover-like a bicycle tube in a tire, and if they puncture they can be patched. As an Eagle Scout I pride myself on being able to choose a good camping site and clearing a sleeping area which is a big part of it.
And when you're tired enough, it's amazing where you can sleep.

The tent-camping experience holds little appeal for some of us who have "camped-out" professionally! ;-)

We used to take a boat down to the mouth of the Mississippi river and camp on a high spot on the levees and duck hunt and catch redfish-fun!!! My little brother asked me if I wanted to go do that last year and I looked at him and asked him if he was ----ing crazy!!!! This 50 year old white boy sleeps on a mattress with airconditioning/heat in a camp with cable TV and hot showers and flush toilets when HE hunts now! (PS, I've also been in my last pirougue too!! Flat boats and go-devils rule!!

I do a fair amount of backpacking and sleep like an absolute baby in my Eagle's Nest Outfitters hammock.

Don't think of your backyard, lazy summer afternoon hammock that 'slouches' in the middle. This thing, if hung properly, has the back support of my $2,000 Memory Foam bed. If I could get away with it, I would string my camping hammock in the bedroom at home. At home, in this "nice" bed, I need to take 2 Aleve every night or I wake up with lower back pain. On the trail, or car camping, I sleep better than ever.

I slip a ThermaRest in the bottom simply for insulation.
