The 696 Club

A pair of no-dash Smith and Wesson carry revolvers, from about a dozen years apart. A four inch 686, on stock targets, and a 696 on Ahrends Bubinga for comparison. In truth the 686 is probably the better all around gun, but I do keep the 696 around for snake /trail protection.

More L Frame 44 happiness

I have found I like the Altamont K-AH round/square conversion grips for these guns.
In my hands they point very naturally and I like the look.
They are a little long for concealment but I have a Bulldog for that.
Guess I kinda like the 5 shot 44.
Still "need" a 396 and maybe a 296 to round out the collection.
The 696-1 is the most accurate of the lot.
