OMG. My list is unbelievable. I spent every weekend night on Woodward Ave when I was a kid, and was nuts about fast cars. If only I knew then what I know now.
- various 67, 68, and 69 Camaros including an RS/SS, and a unusual 68 327 4 speed ragtop with a fold down rear seat that I bought from a little old lady for $600.
- several 67, 68, and 69 Firebirds (326 & 400s)
- two 62 Vettes (both 327 feulies)
- 70 Hemi Superbird
- 73 455SD Trans AM
- 83 Porshe 928S
It makes me sick when I think of it. Every one of these cars was bought and went for less than $4000 except the 928 and one of the Vettes.
If I could have only one back to enjoy (disregarding collector value)?
Without hesitation, the 455 Super Duty T/A. That car was bad to the bone and ran great with very little work. The sheet metal (the 73s and 74s used imported steel that tended to rust badly) could be easily replaced.
Thanks for ruining my night.
P.S.

Don't laugh. In the late 70s a Cosworth Vega was high on my wish list. At that time, it was one of the very few cars that generated more than one horsepower per cubic inch. I never could find one in my price range. The guys that owned one seemed to love them.
