The gun I never had any desire to own________. Fill in the blank.

I'm with RobertJ. RG 38. I currently own 3 Glocks, a full size 10mm and 45 and a M19 which is in my truck 24/7. I find them accurate, reliable and easy to maintain. They are about as utilitarian as they get. The RG...JUNK.

Glock.. Although I do own polymer pistols from S&W and HK the Glock grip angle and horrible trigger makes it a pistol I do not want to own

Goodness! The list of guns I have no desire to own is very long!

Limiting the list only to guns I've actually shot:

AKs, ARs, other black rifles, Governors and similar ilk, Glocks, Tupperware M&Ps, Smith X frames, Smith N frames with barrels longer than 6.5", and anything by Bond Arms or North American Arms.

Soviet Nagant revolver (some of the others, like Swedish, are rather nice), Taurus automatics, Jennings/Raven 25s, Tokarevs, and I'm sure I could list others, but there come to mind first.

Old model Derringers without a Hammer Block.
My Buddy Frank's Dad dropped a 38 Special Derringer on a concrete floor .
It discharged and shot him in the leg.

Plastic pistols, and AK's...except the AKS-74U.

The gun I never had any desire to own......

......another Glock.

I had a 2nd gen G20 from the time Glock first made them in 1990, sold it in 2015. I liked 10mm, and bought a 1911 in that to replace the G20, but never could like the Glock. Carrying it and shooting it felt like dating my sister, it was just wrong.

"The gun I never had any desire to own___"

That would be any .25 Cal semi auto pistol. With all the BS connected to NYs rather nasty pistol permit rules I would not want to dirty up my permit and spend the $3.00 to put on my permit.

See them on occasion at a LGS or gun show and was offered one free from a friend of a friend. Only one of these guns I would ever even consider is if it had serious provable provenance that someone famous owned it and the price was very low or free!

In my life, Glocks have a place. I'm planning a road trip and will take a Glock 19 rather than any of my 1911s. If the worst were to happen and I used the gun in self defense situation and it was seized, or if it was stolen a long way from home, I would rather lose an easily replaceable firearm than one of my custom guns. I shoot a Glock well enough to be confident in using it.

On topic, I've never had a desire for any of the plastic S&Ws, or any caliber above a .357 as my old arthritic hands can't handle recoil these days.
