The humble .38 Special Airweight J-frame.

Kaaskop49, glad the demon planet has LGS with J's, moving sure is a pain.

Loeman, I love my 642-2 even with the lock (think I'm going to get a plug soon though.) but I'd suggest the 442 since the finish on the 642 tends to peel. I really would like a 649.

Harrishmasher, nothing wrong with L-frame snubs! At least you have options and back up options. :D

Erich, The LCR does have a nice trigger. Is yours a newer one without a lock?

There's some very nice looking J-frames posted here, I knew I was preaching to the choir but I just shot mine the other day and was reminded how it's always been there for me.

Here's mine with his bigger brother.

642 Love

I have to admit, I usually try to carry my M&P 40c, but lately my 642 has been my go to. So much easier to carry and I don't necessarily feel under gunned. I have been on the lookout for a 640 Pro for a while now. Any flavor, I like the J frames!

And with my Lobo Gunleather IWB offset clip holster. This rig is very stable and can be worn almost anywhere on the belt. I highly recommend.

My 442 is pretty close to perfect. My mother keeps a 337ti in her purse, and while the weight is almost unbelievable, I think the added heft of the airweight is worth it. Those little feathers knock the hand around pretty good!

Do they ever! Am beginning to think, Pete, that my 337 and 342 should be fed nothing stronger than service loads or even wadcutters. Don't want another operation on the nerve damage in the web of my hand.

Model 37

I have a stock Model 37 to which I added Uncle Mikes grips. It's a great gun, carried much, shot little. I avoid feeding it +P loads of any kind.

Mine came from the estate of my best friend. As the gun has some sentimental value, it won't be on the auction block any time soon.
