My oldest handgun out of many that I own is a model 27-0 with 8-3/8 inch barrel. I bought it about 40 years ago in 1967 for $150 used. The gun was manufactured about 1957. I have shot it several times a year and in single action it is probably my most accurate gun.

I believe in the right tool for the job.

Everyone should have at least (1) 8 3/8, and (1) 3" N frame, with lotsa 4", 5" & 6" guns in between!

I just have one, a 17-5 8 3/8". I don't know if it's my most accurate revolver at 25 yards but I do know that can I shoot it more accurately at that distance than I can shoot any of my other handguns. I take it to the range whenever I feel in need of an ego boost. And, since my ego needs a fair amount of boosting, I suppose I'll never give it up.

Some really, really nice pix here -
glad to see you guys are camera
friendly with the family photos~!

I really like the 8 3/8" format. Had a 29-3 that turned out to be too much gun but this is my baby. Last one to go from the safe!

Almost forgot this. Not a "S" Wesson but a "D" Wesson.

Almost no recoil with .357 mag. loads in the 12". Like shooting a .22 short in an 8 3/8" K22.
