A very small trade days show today yielded this nickle 36-1 serial number, and pinned barrel puts is squarely in 1981 territory will be finding a set of magnas for it soon. He was asking $350 I bought it for $325. Most shows I attend around here it would have been closer to $500

The turn line is a non-issue. That is the way the action works. The Model 36-1 is a great “little” revolver. I used one in the Off Duty Leg of PPC matches. The extra sight radius was a big help.

Mine is blued.

Wait is that a 31-1 or a 36-1? Your post says 31 but the title says 36.

I had the opportunity to get a worn but functional 36 snub for around that price. I decided to pass, as much as I wanted to compare a vintage J to the 642 I used to have. Every time I buy a 38 only revolver I regret not getting a 357 instead. The urge to hot rod the 38 is just too great for me. If I thought for a second it could handle some 38/44 level loads I'd be content but I don't want to beat up a perfectly good 38 if I don't have to.
