The Old Model 15 Snub Still Has It

Well twist my arm and make me post about one of my all-around favorite firearms!
I love the 2" 15. There is something about the dimensions, the size, the "business-like" aura that surrounds it.
I've mentioned before (but never get tired of telling the story) that I traded into a blued two-incher back in the old days (well, old for me, at least) in the latter part of the 1970s while in the Army, stationed in Denver. As I recall, it was a beauty, no cosmetic issues at all and appeared to not have a lot of rounds through it.
Well, I fell in love, but this was a time in my life where my best friend was also an FFL, would buy-sell-trade pretty much anything and everything (We traded a 63 Chevy convertible back and forth for guns for several weeks before we finally found a GI from Mississippi to buy it) I was also heavily into refinishing. Stainless steel as revolver material was still not a common find, so a trip to Armoloy or one of the others gave you a reasonable facsimile. So it was with that Blue Two, after a short detour to a cop friend on the department who turned the standard square-butt into an elegant round one.
When Blue Two came back, it was nothing short of phenomenal. It looked every bit the image of the non-existent stainless snub 15. The gun was so well done by my "folks" - the grooves on the front and back of the grip frame were perfect, even under a magnifier. To say it turned heads everywhere I took it would be an understatement. It was, IMO, simply spectacular.
The end of the story is I traded it off. Didn't think twice, it's just what we did. I don't even remember what I traded for, but I sure remember that two-inch beauty.

But hey, all is not lost. Over the last 10 or 15 years I've acquired 3 more, two Nickel and a (sadly) Cerakoted one. They aren't going anywhere, at least while I'm still above ground.
(One little Cerakote story: I HATE painted guns that "look" painted. Aftermarket finishes look it to me, and I usually won't even touch them. But the serial number on this one contains my old badge number, and based on that alone, I bought it.)
Thank you for reading if you made it this far, and You guys that are posting photos get a big THANK YOU!
