The Shield .40 really does exist! Merry Christmas to me!!

LGS had a S&W sale today. VP from S&W was present, and they had a large amount of Shields in stock. Not a huge sale price, they were actually the same price as they had been selling them for, when they were able to get one. $450 out the door. I stood in line for an hour before the store opened. I was #5 in line and got the first Shield .40 of the day. They have had a few 9s previously but this was the first time anyone within a 3-4 hour drive has had a .40 in stock. Can't wait to shoot it.

Smart man, picking the .40 over the 9mm. Ever since I converted my .40 for whenever I want, i just gave my ole lady the Shield 9mm. I have no use for the 9mm anymore, lol

Grab one of those conversion kits while u can. Be our luck, those damn things will go on back order like everything else.

Thanks everyone. Got called in to work today so I've still not shot it yet. Really wasn't impressed with the VP from S&W though. Wasn't really that friendly, acted like he was bothered to be there. Same LGS had a Ruger rep there a few years ago for same type of sale. He was giving out pictures, getting pictures made, shaking hands, giving out hats, pens, etc. thanked me for buying Ruger. This guy barely said hello as I was checking out and basically paying his salary. Still happy with the gun though.
