Funny how any kid the speaks about, draws about guns gets suspended due to ZERO tolerance but they are going to protest about them??

There is a paragraph about some areas they can protest but not about guns??

I firmly believe that they will influence policy making going forward.

Blow it off as some will, but....
When kids are crying, Adults listen.

The punishments have nothing to do with gun control, but student attendance. Considering that most schools are liberal, and they dislike guns it is laughable that they would be punishing for gun protests. Even as far back as when I was in school you skipped class, did not show up without being sick, you got suspended. To me it did not make much sense because you then missed more days of school.

These lawyers are going to have to prove that the suspensions were specially for protesting guns. If they can then that will turn the whole system of funding per student upside down. Unless funding is changed for students who skip school instead of attend school.

Of course the media is not going to play it that way in an attempt to intimidate the schools. It is up to us to use whatever social media to counter that fake news.

I'm sick of this topic. Given this "tragedy" was a result of the COMPLETE FAILURE TO ACT by every ADULT immediately, remotely, academically, administratively and socially involved with the critter, how are the great minds going to assure, through "solutions" that "This never happens again."

The chickens are coming home to roost! We are seeing the results of the draft dodging protesters of the 60's who ended up in colleges and became teachers and now Presidents and Deans of the Colleges and the educators (?) hey have since produced. They have written the books and taught liberalism,progressivism and social change to the young folk and this is the result.

"They" were waiting for a tragedy like Parkland to exploit. Vegas and Texas didn't fit their parameters. The whole thing from the initial act of violence itself to the exploitation afterwards makes me sick to my stomach.

The problem with their plan is sooner or later these kids will not be kids. Some will be working adults in the real world, some will become involved in shooting sports. Some will carry to defend their family, some will even become conservatives.

The left wants to delay as much as possible their shift from the nanny state to self reliance. One of those plans is to delay their entry in to firearms community. They believe they have a better chance of hanging onto them.

This is all true. I'd name some of the groups/people, but it would veer into politics and I don't want to be suspended nor do I want this thread deleted.

I'm sure the members can figure out who that is on their own.

I'm a bit surprised that this isn't in the Second Amendment forum, because make no mistake, this yet another assault on our Civil Rights.

Don't forget to donate to the NRA and other organizations. It's the best thing we can do to fight the forces of darkness.

The students, all under 19, hormones and youthful imaginations raging and with essentially 0 life experience as adults in most cases, have had enough.

We adults, some who have had decades of living in the real world learning and studying, should bow to their wishes. THEY are the experts. In fact, we should just abolish all courts and let the Students rewrite the constitution and instantly grant any laws passed that they choose.
