Here is my 19-3 also have 19-5. Grips on 19-3 are from a gun show cheap. This is a great shooter has had some use boght it at alocal shop and belonged to LEO. Pic's not that good !
Bought in May for $249! 19-2, serial number K778587. Nicest gun I've ever seen.

Just picked this up 10 minutes ago... 19-6, faintest of faint turn rings is all the wear it shows.

I think because the round butt versions came with magnas (that didn’t cover the serial number) and the square butt versions came with targets (that would cover the serial number).Any idea why some have the serial number stamped into the frame behind the yoke and some only have it stamped on the bottom of the grip frame???
That’s up to you. I appreciate any info you are willing to share.I didn't remove the stock from my shorty 19 for the serial but I can if it is really needed for the project after all this time.
