I get the no shoe rules- to each his own. Your house, your rules. My feet, my rules. I myself, take my shoes off when I get home and I wear flip flops. My feet are cold natured anyway and when they are in constant contact with wood and tile they get even colder.

I do not required others to remove shoes in my house. To me, my shoes are meant to protect feet from whatever is out there. Not the other way around.

As a contractor, I respect the rule 100% when required. However, It adds to the labor cost for the extra time it takes for my guys to take boots off and on throughout the day. I price the job accordingly. One of our stringent rules is to leave the work area cleaner than when we found it.

Sign requested that the field boots please be left at the entrance.

It was an engineering office for an oil field company.
Located on Hwy 50 near Bridgeport Il.
Clients were workers in oil fields - drillers - pumpers - maintenance - etc
