There is a fast food place I hate, except for;

Yesterday, Had a egg- sausage biscuit and coffee.
I usually have the small breakfast burrito.
It's $1 and you get a lot of scrambled egg, small tortilla, and a minuscule amount of sausage.

Back in the Devonian Period (1960's) I used to like the Filet of Fish sandwich, which at the time was pretty darn cheap...at today's prices, they must be serving lobster...seriously, that much for a four inch square of breaded cod or rock fish? The McDLT was pretty good, cold side and warm side separated so you combined the two when ready to eat, but styrofoam containers went by the wayside, as did the McDLT.

when i do eat at mickey d's...i like the big breakfast with hot cakes or the cheeseburgers n fries.....

I hate Micky D's. The fries are OK but that's it.

Today I had a biscuit for breakfast, no lunch and was hustling all day. I was tired and hungry, light headed and needed food. I was on my way to th farm to drop off new spare for the stock trailer and to check zero on my Kimber 7mm-08. My Grandsons scope cross hairs started rotating on the shot where he killed his first deer. I'm gonna let him use my Dad's pre 64 so I needed to make sure mine was on.

The last fast food place leaving town is Micky D's, OK pride leaveth before starvation, I was going to buy 2 of the little buck 19 cheese burgers and drink the bottled water I had.

Back for a limited time, Mc Rib. Ok I'm a Mc Rib junkie, serious junkie. I bought and ate 2, I was stuffed.

If they served it 24x7x365 I'd eat there often. How is it a place where all their other sandwiches miss my good taste buds a mile can make the best fast food, for me, sammmmich in the world?

I like the McRib too.....However I think its made from mystery meat.......Which means with enough sauce anything taste good.

Somebody already mentioned the McCoffee.
When you are rolling through the boondocks, and want a cup-
The Golden Arches are a welcome sight.
Clean - usually- restrooms, and working but probably slow wifi.
You might find that elsewhere in a small NM town, but it's a maybe, not a sure thing!

Was that intentional? Devonian Period and the fish sandwich? If memory serves, the Devonian was the Age of Fishes...

I prefer to sit down and eat in an IHOP for fast food. If I have to take a sandwich with me, I've done okay at Jack in the Box, but prefer a local chain called Burger Street. I like their Chili Cheeseburger, and the chicken sandwich is good, too. Their curly fries are better than most.

I just can't get myself to even try a McRib. Mystery meat in my opinion. Just what exactly is it? Same with the Taco Bell mystery meat. I'll go with a Freddy's or Five Guy's burger any time.

The same ingredients they use in vending machine sandwiches, and cafeteria meatloaf.

Aren't they and Carl's Jr. known mainly for their TV ads?
We don't have them here. I wondered if the food was any good.
I've never been in a Carl's Jr. I think they're tied in with Big Boy, which I actually like, although I haven't eaten in one since I lived in Fremont, Ohio in the '90s.

...the local McDs is making pretty good Filet o' Fish right now...of course that could change subject to who they hire next...I like the Big Breakfast with Hot Cakes...and I'll eat a McRib...just not too many of them...maybe that's why they come and go...give folks time to recover...

...one too many McRibs...

I too like the sausage, egg and cheese McMuffin with hashbrowns.

More useless info: the filet-o-fish was created 6 blocks from my former and now present home. In a head to head, It beat out Ray's pineapple and cheese Hula Burger. Go figure.

Yep...when fish were plentiful...still want a baked coelacanth smothered in butter....none at Trader Joe's yet.

I don't worry about any fast food being bad for you. I think it's better than nothing. America's food industry is top notch, except that they, and FDA, err on the paranoid side of safety. I hate McSlop. If I want a rib or pork sandwich, I'll go to a barbecue place and get something that really looks like pig meat. All of their breakfast taste artificial to me.
